The Scope

Receptek were employed by the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust to develop the designs for the new MLU Birthing Centre. In addition to the central Reception Desk / Nurse Station, a total of 8 spacious birthing rooms were fitted out with a Receptek mediscene bespoke headwall system incorporating a fold-down bed and all medical gases, nursecall systems and associated equipment.

“These must be some of the most spacious and comfortable birthing rooms in the world. It has been a very interesting project to have been involved in with many new ideas now added to our repertoire. In future we would recommend producing a full-scale prototype to involve input from the end users as early as possible.”
